Girl demonstrates Cool SuperPower (Third Eye)

Came across this video today, decided to do some more research into it:
(apparently children ages 6-12 are the most receptive to this ability and superpower, but we can all do it)
after age 12, our logical mind takes over, and we don't have as easy access to our third eye powers.

watch below and decide for yourself; super humans

10 Secrets to SHINE YOUR BRIGHTEST

1. STOP LOOKING OUTSIDE OF YOURSELF FOR ANSWERS
all answers lie within; meditate to learn how to listen; to learn to meditate, focus on your                 breathing, being mindful of how your body feels as the oxygen flows into and out of your body   and lungs

2. ONE WORLD, MANY REALITIES
there are infinite # of realities; imagine every single human being you see is a universe; isn't that     beautiful? ....we have chosen to accept a consensus reality, which is why we are living in the          world we are; reality is nothing more than the realm of focus; what you tune into is creating your   reality

3. FOOD IS INFORMATION
food is information. food is light. it is energy. it contains frequency information you need to know about from the cosmos; when you eat an apple, you are getting a download of all the information    stored in that apple; food is for information and intelligence, wisdom, to create clarity within          yourself

4. IMAGINATION IS REAL
everything you can conceive exists somewhere; imagination is so powerful, if you visualize           through meditation, you end up attracting it, imagination is everything; the more you meditate, you  begin to change your brain structure, and see the imagination is more powerful than reality;           Einstein always said "imagination is more important than knowledge"

5. YOU ARE THE ILLUMINATED ONES; YOU ARE THE POWER
the devil is not to blame for your problems; you are gods and goddesses; you are responsible for   the reality you are creating; you create heaven, but you also create your own hell; you create the      experience you want on planet earth, based on your beliefs, based on your thoughts; it is all you.     heaven is a figment of your imagination; just as hell is as well; what's heaven for one could be hell for another; everything is subjective; you are the architect of your own reality; you are responsible  for  the weather you are creating in your reality; taking responsibility for everything in your reality  to gain your power back is the best thing you can do.

6. START TO QUESTION; RADICAL ACTION MATTERS, IT'S NOT JUST THOUGHT!
       the human being is like a computer, which is why it's so easy to program human beings; everything we build is modeled after the universe; sacred geometry; the flower of life; why do we build            computers? because we are like them too! computers are built on binary code 0s & 1s...we live in a world of duality (cold/hot; good/bad) at any time, you can change your software; you need the right  computer to change your software; by eating well, training well, positive thinking, beautiful              harmonious connections every day, mind and body working together; radical action;

7. THE BODY IS A VEHICLE; INSIDE THE VEHICLE IS OUR CONSCIOUSNESS
this body is just a shell; we are coming back continuously to learn lessons with different people; the body being a vehicle is beautiful; a lot of people are working on their physical appearance,      but the shell/body isn't who you really are; inside of you is something called the "SOUL" ; you    are like a tree; the thoughts are the seeds; you can grow flowers or weeds; by this shift from          spirituality to materialism, a lot of people stepped into a state of amnesia, forgetting who they        truly were; they became identified with the human flesh; persona; mask; the illuminated ones        knew that this body is nothing more than a vehicle; the truth of who you are cannot be seen. it      can only be felt.

8. ABUNDANCE IS YOUR NATURAL STATE
go into nature. see how abundant nature is. we are the only species who pay to eat; throughout   time, money was created to enslave the masses, but there was a period of time where money  didn't even exist; you didn't own any land; ownership of land is a man-made construct; in native america, no one owned land, it is a modern day concept; the illuminated ones wont tell you that scarcity is the illusion; abundance is the truth; abundance is your natural birthright.

9. A HUMAN BEING HAS UNLIMITED POTENTIAL
working with the subconscious mind, anything is possible; tapping into the secret in your         subconscious mind; we can hold thousands of encyclopedias of knowledge; we are distracted                 from our true calling constantly by what we are programmed into all around us; everything                     starts with the frequencies around you; stop listening to music that doesn't serve you

10. SEPARATION IS AN ILLUSION
the only difference between you and I is the ego. you are separate because of the EGO; when we realize we have created countries and race and separation out of ego, separation is the greatest illusion ever created.

Week 1 - Breathing | Weekly Article, Video, and Song

Did you know? Most people are walking around, not knowing how to breathe properly? Breathing is something we do from the day we are born until the day that we die. It's surprising that general education doesn't place much importance on teaching people the most effective way of breathing, considering we spend our lives at it.

Although this process of inhalation and exhalation seems so simple, the way in which you are breathing could make a huge difference in how you experience life.
For most of my life, I had created a habit of breathing that wasn't giving my body the full oxygen nourishment it needed. Thankfully, about 2 years ago, I had an experience that changed the way I thought about breathing forever. I finally learned what it felt like to breathe, fully breathe, fully give my lungs the capacity of air intake I wasn't even previously aware of.
Most people are not correctly informed on proper breathing, simply because society in general has not placed much importance upon the subject. This article, video, and song are meant to act as some education on proper breathing. Hope you enjoy!!
If you know nothing about proper breathing, and realize your body has also gotten into a habit of poor breathing, no worries!!
Luckily, you have the ability to retrain your body. According to these four levels of learning (diagram below), you can train your body how to properly breathe, until eventually, you become unconsciously competent, and your body will shift to breathe properly automatically without even thinking about it. [these four levels of learning can be applied to ANY learning process, not just breathing, but anything we learn how to do]

  • What happens when you don’t breathe properly?

    • Lack of Oxygen throughout bodily system
    • Stress
    • Tension
    • Airways tighten, to compensate, we have to work harder and breathe faster to get the same work done
    • Blood vessels constrict – higher blood pressure – heart has to work harder to pump
    • Less energy, less oxygen to cells
    • Cells have to switch from development mode to survival mode
    • Brain uses 20%, brain will work slower with less oxygen
    • Heart cant pump blood as effectively, cold hands & feet, poor blood circulation
    • Muscles stiff, tense, tired faster

  •   What happens when you do breathe properly?

    •  Vagus nerve strengthens, creating a greater connection between your brain, heart, lungs, and digestive system, bringing your entire vessel into a much more efficient functioning level
    •  brings you into moment - taking your conscious awareness into your body, focused on your breathing, being in the moment, and less in your thoughts over past and future, helps bring your whole body into balance
    • oxygen flows to all these areas, switching everything in your system from survival mode, to development, balanced mode
  • you gain the ability to RESPOND, rather than REACT to stressful situations in your life

PROPER BREATHING

  1. Breathe through nose. – nose is designed to refine the air quality that goes into your lungs (your mouth is for eating!) – air taken in from mouth filled with viruses bacteria, unfiltered, raw, cold air
  2. Use the diaphragm instead of your chest to breathe– 70-80% of breathing should be done by the diaphragm – deep breaths, helps lungs with gas exchange, diaphragm massages your liver, stomach, and intestines, gives a rhythmical balance to them, lymphatic system gets help it needs to get rid of waste products from bowels, pressure in chest and belly lessens, heart gets to work less hard, more effective muscle work since they won’t be overcompensating for the lack of oxygen, chest relaxes, so do neck and shoulders, good for lessening any pain in those areas,
  3. Breathe relaxed – our breathing reflects our thoughts, feelings, and physical body…stressful situations have us feeling tense also lead to tense and stressful breathing. Lack of oxygen leads to even more stress. Take control over your breathing...become mindful of what's going on in your body.
  4. Breathe rhythmically – everything... ocean waves, seasons, moon, has a natural rhythm. Your breathing is no different. We can tune our bodies to function their absolute best with breath.
  5. Breathe silently – snoring, yawning are ways your body overcompensates for lack of oxygen. Through silence we may also silent our thoughts, bringing our awareness completely into the present moment.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTING PROPER BREATHING INTO YOUR HABITS

  1. Set an hourly alarm. Each hour during the day, whenever the alarm goes off, notice how your breathing is.
  2. Take 5 minutes a day to do nothing but focus on your breathing, consciously taking the breath from the upper chest areas to the lower belly/diaphragm areas of your body
  3. Use imagery. Imagine when you take a breath in, the pure oxygen is flowing into your body, and when you exhale, imagine it spreading throughout every muscle and organ, reaching every cell, giving it the nourishment it needs. By using creative imagery with the breath, not only does the process become more fun, but the intention behind the breathing becomes fully integrated.

Regarding Giving Advice

All behavior serves a positive intention.

We often find errors in the behavior of others. We see, hear, and feel them doing things that aren't good for them, and we try to give advice as to how they should behave instead.

Because we care about them, eventually we get to the point of demanding almost in a sense, that they change the behavior and their way of doing things. However, our advice-giving, as positive as our intention might be, rarely has any impact on that person's behavior.

So what are we doing wrong here?
How can we go about this at a different angle?

The truth is, the behavior is working for them.
It is fulfilling some need.
It fulfills values.

The behavior gives them feelings they want to feel, or, on the contrasting side, helps them avoid feelings they don't want to feel.

A Different Approach

Because these behaviors are serving a purpose, it is important not to take them away.
Instead, replacing those behaviors with others that fulfill those same needs and values is the way to go.

1. Identify all of the feelings & values their current behavior is enabling them to feel or avoid feeling.
2. One by one, with each of these values, go through and ask how they might go about fulfilling those same values/feelings/needs in more constructive ways.
3. Sometimes, people need to learn from their own life experience, and all we can do is be patient; perhaps take a closer look at some of our own behaviors while we wait for them.

Emotions and Taking Responsibility

I wonder if you have ever blamed someone or something for the way you are feeling?

One of the biggest things I've had to learn in life so far is how to take responsibility for my own emotions.

In the human condition, it is easy to blame others or external circumstances for the ways we are feeling. However, recognizing that everything you are feeling is actually coming from within YOU...that's the most empowering thing. Knowing that you have all the power to care about how you feel, and shift it when necessary, from within.

If you want world peace, create inner peace first.

And that is UNCONDITIONAL love. Feeling good without requiring for the conditions to change. No matter what the conditions on the outside are, you can be happy anyway, cant you?

How you are feeling is how YOU are feeling...not how someone or something else MADE YOU feel.

Daily Challenge for the Purpose of Expansion and Growth

I challenge everyone to experience one day within the practice of non-judgment.
Good/Bad....Right/Wrong...
Any time you notice yourself making a value judgment about something...whether you see it as "good," or see what someone else is doing as "bad" ...pause for a moment. Realize that value judgments are completely subjective. What you see as "wrong," someone else may see as "right."
Think of food. There are some foods you like, the ones you think of as "good." There are some foods you don't like, the ones you think of as "bad." Yet, you don't expect everyone to think all the same foods are good that you do. But why, then, do you expect everyone to believe the same things are right and wrong? Everyone's perspective is different; everyone's preferences are different.
Ultimately, where did we receive these value judgments? When we were little perhaps, the voices of our parents in our heads, telling us what is right and what is wrong. Or perhaps from society, our community, and environment. But we will never all 100% agree upon what is universally right and what is universally wrong. The beauty is in our diversity, and freedom to decide for ourselves.
Afterall, your perception of the reality around you is a reflection of yourself. When you judge things, people, circumstances outside of yourself, in reality, you are projecting what you see within yourself onto your outside circumstances. All judgments are judgments of the self. So practice a day within non-judgment, and you will be in turn embracing yourself, your own oneness, accepting yourself, exactly the way you are; because you are, perfect. Take a moment and witness the intelligence within every living being. The perfection of the symphony of life.
There truly is no such thing as right/wrong because they are part of the one. Without the bad, there wouldn't be the good; for, how would we know what good was if we didn't have something to compare it to?

10 Benefits of Hypnotherapy

10 Benefits of Hypnotherapy:

1. Addictions - Do you have an addiction? Whether to food, alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, or whatever the case may be, hypnotherapy can help. Through the use of hypnosis, you are able to create new associations of being in control of your behavior, which replace the old subconscious associations of engaging in your addiction for pleasure.

2. Stress Reduction - Under stress, the mind and body cannot function properly. The fight/flight survival mode is active and this prevents normal body functions, like digesting food, from occurring. Hypnosis has the ability to relax your body and mind, bringing you back to a balanced state, allowing your system to receive much needed replenishment, rejuvenation, recharging, healing, and rest.

3. Sleep - Sleep disorders affect millions of people, from insomnia to imbalanced sleep patterns to sleep walking, or to simply not being able to sleep well. Is a sleep disorder affecting you? As human beings, we need sleep in order to be able to function. During Deep Sleep, our body is able to produce serotonin and take care of its regular processes. JUST 15 minutes of Hypnosis is equivalent to 4 HOURS of DEEP SLEEP!

4. Chronic Pain - In scientific psychological studies, hypnosis is proven to be an effective pain management technique. If nothing else is working for you when it comes to controlling your pain, or if you don't want to take prescription pain killers, perhaps you should give hypnosis a try. People have even been known to go through surgery using hypnosis as a replacement for anesthetic! [NOTE: Pain management is taught only after a medical diagnosis from your doctor and with a doctor's referral.]

5. Weight Management - Because hypnotherapy allows you to gain access to your mind on a deeper psychological and emotional level, the root cause behind over-eating or holding onto weight is able to be addressed. Being hypnotized is like giving your brain new software to run new programs, allowing you to be in control of what you eat.

6, Anxiety/Depression - The techniques learned through hypnosis are designed to interrupt old thought patterns that are driving the unwanted emotions. Hypnosis clients themselves come up with what they would like to replace the unwanted emotions with. The new replacement, positive emotion, is then programmed into the subconscious mind, creating a state of well-being and living for the client.

7. Memory Enhancement - Every second, 2 million bits of information are flooding into your awareness. However, your conscious mind can only pick up on about 134 bits at a time, while your subconscious absorbs it all. Under hypnosis, the subconscious mind is at the forefront, providing the client access to memory. Have you lost your wedding ring, or perhaps a set of keys? Hypnosis may be able to help you recover it!

8. Changing Behaviors - Hypnosis is all about Behavior Modification. Do you find yourself getting irritated often? Do you have trouble managing your anger? Often, these behavioral patterns are learned in childhood, or link to a specific incident. A hypnotic suggestion given while under hypnosis has the ability to eradicate the old messages telling you to behave in certain ways, and replace them with new messages about more appropriate ways to behave. Emotions drive our behaviors, and using hypnosis, you can change the way something makes you feel, thus changing the behavior.

9. DEEP RELAXATION - Similar to meditation, hypnosis has a relaxing effect on the mind and body. When relaxed, the mind can become more creative and better at problem solving, while the body can become less at risk for heart disease or high blood pressure. If you have trouble relaxing, hypnosis may be right for you.

10. Self Esteem Booster - How we feel about ourselves is all about our self-talk. You know, that inner voice that talks to you all day in your head!! This voice comes from the subconscious mind, and it has become so automatic, we feel there isn't a way to stop the negative messages being fed to us. However, because hypnotic suggestion deals with the subconscious mind, it is able to change the inner dialogue to more desirable, positive messages of encouragement and confidence! Imagine how it would feel to find yourself listening to a kinder, more supportive inner voice.

Hypnosis and Brain Waves

In order to understand how Hypnosis works, one must first gain an understanding of thoughts,
and their importance in how they influence our decisions on a day to day basis.
There are 4 types of brain waves, listed below. (Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta):

 Every thought is electric.
We can measure the electrical activity that goes on in the brain using an EEG machine, in cycles per second.
Next to each of the brain waves listed above, is a number in Hz. This is representative of cycles per second; or, in other words, how frequent our thoughts are occurring; how frequent our neurons are firing per second.

The subconscious mind (which is present during hypnosis) is activated in the Alpha, Theta, and Delta states, where thoughts are less frequent.

On the other hand, our conscious mind is in Beta.
This is where our thoughts are going fast-paced, usually when we're stressed or agitated, or even taking a test, where we need to be concentrated on something that requires a lot of our attention. This is where we typically function throughout the day. It is in Beta brainwave function where we experience EGO. Our egos resist changes in our behavior. This is why the key to hypnosis, is to relax brainwave function to a slower state, in order to bypass the resistance of one's ego during Beta brainwave function.

The moment we enter an Alpha state, where our thoughts are slightly less frequent, this is a light hypnotic state. Our subconscious is present, yet our conscious mind is still somewhat active here, as we are still aware of what's going on around us. However, in an alpha state, we are able to bypass the ego. Many of us slip in and out of this state multiple times a day quite naturally, such as when we dream, daydream, watch TV, read, or even drive a familiar route. On average, we spend about 4 hours per day in the alpha brainwave state. 95% of people can achieve this state, at will, during a hypnosis session.

Once our mind enters into a Theta state, at 4-7 cycles per second, images begin to form, and it is as though our conscious mind is taking a complete rest, and allowing the subconscious to take over. This is a state of complete and total relaxation. On average, 70% of hypnosis subjects achieve the Theta state. It is in this state where one experiences amnesia, and may have faded memories of the hypnosis session.

Finally, the Delta brainwave state corresponds to our deep sleep state, also known as REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. We spend an average of 3 hours per night in this state. Delta functions between .05-3.5 cycles per second, and in this state, we are completely unconscious, and don't have any memories of what has happened in and around us during this time. Only about 5% of hypnosis subjects will slip into this somnambulist state during a hypnosis session.

Here is an interesting video about how to achieve your goals with intention by entering the most ideal brainwave state to set and achieve them:

The Vagus Nerve

One of the most fascinating new topics I have come across recently is the Vagus Nerve. This nerve is known as the "wanderer," rightfully so, as it wanders throughout our upper body, beginning at the top of our brain stem, going down our neck and connecting our brain with our heart, lungs, and digestive system. There are billions of neurons within the Vagus Nerve that are responsible for communication between these key organs within our body.

The Vagus Nerve is part of the autonomic nervous system, which is the system that controls the automatic functions of our body (breathing, heart rate, digestive system, hormones), the things we don't do on a conscious level.

The autonomic system has two different branches: the sympathetic and parasympathetic. They work together as one; the sympathetic is the accelerator of the body, while the parasympathetic can be thought of as the brakes of the body. The following is an example of how the two branches work together: The sympathetic nervous system makes sure that our heart rate elevates when we inhale. Inhalation is an action, our body is ready for action when we breathe in. The other branch, the parasympathetic, makes sure that our heart rate slows down when we exhale. It is responsible for relaxing and slowing down the body. If we can control that part of our nervous system in our daily life, we will be able to control our reactions to situations that we come across.

The Vagus Nerve is very responsible for the communication that goes on between our heart and our brain. When our eyes perceive a stressful situation, they tell our brain, "we're in a stressful situation"; then our brain tells our heart, and then our heart rate elevates. Then, our heart rate sends a message back to our brain saying, "get ready, we're in a stressful situation." The heart, through its rate, sends a signal to the brain. The message that goes from our heart to our brain has a tremendous effect on how we perceive a situation we're in, as well as how we're going to react to it.

Imagine if you were to be able to consciously control the message that goes from your brain to your heart, as well as your heart to your brain. You consciously control your reaction and perception of every situation you find yourself in.

Our heart continuously tells our brain how we feel at each moment.

If we control the messages that our heart is sending to our brain, we can control the way we function in daily life. Scientists say that our Vagus Nerve has a tone (just like a muscle can have a stronger or weaker tone, our Vagus Nerve can also be strengthened the more we use it). People with a high Vagus Nerve tonality are better able to relax when encountering a stressful situation, have a greater sense of well-being, as well as stronger relationships. It has also been shown that those with a high functioning Vagus Nerve have a stronger immune system response, as the nerve regulates the body's inflammation response to disease.

Here is a way to strengthen your Vagus Nerve:

1) Breathing: The elevation and slowing down of our breathing and heart rate, if it is at an even, rhythmic pace, there is a greater level of coherence in the communication between our heart and brain. By becoming mindful of your breathing, your body will automatically relax, as your brain goes into an alpha state.
2) Combining breathing with feelings of Love, Compassion, and Gratitute in your heart. Feelings of compassion and love strengthen the tone of your Vagus Nerve.

The Vagus Nerve can be considered as our interface with the world. As we perceive, our thoughts about what we are perceiving get passed around via the Vagus Nerve to all parts of our body, telling our body how to respond based upon what we are perceiving.

The fascinating part is that the Vagus Nerve is also connected to our digestive system, and whatever we put into our stomachs sends a signal from our gut to our brain and our gut to our heart. That is why eating habits are so very important to your state of mind and state of well being. When we perceive that we're in a stressful situation, our Vagus Nerve slows down our digestive system, as the Fight/Flight response [sympathetic nervous system] is activated. So, in learning how to better respond to stressful situations, you are also in turn improving your digestive system. Chew on that!
